Zer, a name which is well known in the farthest north of Germany.
The most free linewalls, which you could paint there, are already bombed with that specific
name. Zer started to spread out his pieces in 1991 and the first train was decorated one year later.
In his Golden Age (1992 - 1993) he did not only paint trains but also walls. In 1991 Zer
was looking for an active hardcore trainbomber in his area and the only one who was suitable
was Razor. They knew each other through a strange rapper. At their first trainaction they met Skim
in front of the yard. They decided to work together and created an end to end. At this time Zer had the idea to
originate a crew and gave it the simple but aptly name Colors On Steel. Ok, back to his characteristic
skills. Zer variates his styles enormously. Sometimes you can see an oldschool bubblepiece in the
streets and on the other hand you glance at a futuristic piece on a train. A striking aspect of the individual
pieces is that they seem to be sprayed by the use of stencils, because he drew his outlines extremely clearly and with sharp edges.
Zer was painting all illegal places and nothing was safe when he went out to paint. Trucks, busses, ships, trees, roof tops, policecars, bridges,
and trains are some examples to describe what you have to expect when you enter his area. In the beginning of Zers career he used
mostly the so called popcolors like mint, lilac, lavender and other pale colors, but by the time he has changed his preferences and started to
bomb with clear bright colors. Zer always tried to draw new styles, because he hates stagnation.
His opinion is that a good writer should never paint an outline more than one time. Obviously his pieces have
styles, fill ins and backgrounds which are different to the ordinary pieces you are used to. In the conclusion some formulation
about Zer' s pictures are for example:
